COPENHAGEN (AFP) – Five more swine flu deaths have been confirmed in Sweden, including the fourth fatal case in the country and a fourth death in one of the country’s largest cities.

Three cases have been identified among 10 people who are ill, the Health Ministry said Saturday.

Of those 10 people, one was hospitalized, and the other six received flu shots in another Swedish city.

Swedish health authorities reported one dead person and one confirmed death following Friday’s first case, but said the first case had not been fully identified.

The latest death comes two days after a fifth person died on Sunday after apparently suffering with the flu.

The hospital where the fifth victim died had sent out a call to everyone, including visitors to the capital, Sveriges Radio (Riks) reported on Saturday.

In a similar fashion to Sweden’s 2015 high-profile influenza outbreak, which affected nine people in the city, five swine flu infections followed Friday’s first case.

The latest death was one-week after another swine flu death in northern Sweden in August, when another man was sickened with the illness.

There has been a spike in the number of deaths associated with swine flu, with the World Health Organization attributing that spike to the recent seasonal flu outbreaks.

In Sweden’s largest cities, there have been an average of 16 swine flu infections per day from 2010 to 2015, with eight people dyin슬롯 머신g, according to the Stockholm University Health Care Service.

The most recent flu outbreak in Sweden in March affected between 20,000 and 35,000 people and triggered a public health emergency in Södertälje, Gothenburg and Stockholm.
