The news of his departure came just hours after news broke on Wednesday that Michael Dreeben, a longtime ABC News anchor who had been with NBC News since 1997, was leaving after four years, having spent more than 50 years at the network.

NBC News released a statement announcing that he had “served for nearly 30 years as a contributing voice on multi바카라ple network evening newscasts.”

“After four and a half years at ABC News, Mike, an award-winning journalist, is leaving for NBC News, where he will continue his network morning newscasts, the Today show and Sunday Night with Don Lemon. He has the great honor of serving as senior vice president of news, NBC News Entertainment.”

Dreeben joined ABC News in 1998. He later went to NBC and later worked as the morning anchor of the World in Focus on NBC in New York City.

After weeks of speculation about Zucker’s departure, it was announced Thursday afternoon that the news was not a firing, but rather was simply a “closing.”
